Worth knowing

  • SCOTI is a Thailand-specific standing committee. Its own induction minutes (17 Dec 2023) record the lineage as TMSIC, then SOTI, then SCOTI.
  • Legacy projects named in those minutes as pre-2023/24 SCOTI/SOTI work: the Med Innovation Newsletter, a Research Tour, webinars, and 'Hack Med x SOTI', a hackathon that was explicitly not continued in 2023/24.
  • The 2023/24 term ran as five named project lines, AI Roadshow, SCOTI Podcast, SCOTI Webinar, SCOTI Tech Tour, Innovative Internship. Supported by admin, PR, finance and HR teams.
  • AI Roadshow's project proposal set a budget of 108,150 THB, named PreceptorAI as the external partner organisation and ThaiHealth (สสส., Thai Health Promotion Foundation) as funder, and mapped the project to UN SDGs 3, 4 and 9.
  • The combined SCOTI Webinar and Podcast proposal carried a budget of 30,800 THB.
  • The AI Roadshow proposal set measurable targets: at least 100 medical students reached across five months, participants from at least 3 institutions, minimum 20 attendees per event, and pre/post knowledge tests to measure learning gain.
